Stanford Indicted in $7 Billion Scheme With Antiguan Regulator

See, this is what drives me crazy about Wall Street. The absolute greed and the arrogant of these fat cats with all their run away power. This guy Allen Stanford of Stanford Group is a Texas financier who kind of has this playboy image. One day he’s on CNBC being interviewed, and when he’s asked a rather stupid question about how it feels to be a billionaire he gives this smug answer like he’s actually earned every cent he’s got. Uh, no he didn’t. In fact he’s been indicted with a former Antiguan regulator on charges the two directed a $7 billion fraud. Look for about 30,000 investors to be on the hook for these schemes by yet another crook. Innocent until proven guilty? Tell this to another batch of suckers who would gladly lynch this guy if they got their hands on him. To bad we embrace and reward these kinds of perpetrators by only making them forfeit their assets and then sending them off to the country club for a few years. If Stanford is guilty of criminal fraud he should be placed in a real jail for the rest of his life just like they do to all the other thieves out there caught stealing much less.
